James Anderson Claims Twenty20 Cricket Will Result In Overkill

The England fast bowler James Anderson has warned that too many Twenty20 matches will result in Overkill.
“Twenty20 is growing all the time, but there is a bit of a danger of playing too much of it,” The Times quoted Anderson, as saying.
“The danger is overkill with Twenty20 cricket because we’ve seen in county cricket this season that they’re playing 16 games over the next three or four weeks. I’ve played in one and been to another and the crowds have been a bit lower than normal, so there’s a danger of playing too much,” he said.
Anderson however said that the if popularity grows in the shortest form of the game then the test matches will suffer “Test cricket is still really well followed. We’re still selling out the whole ground for Test matches,” he said.
