Usain Bolt defeated Team mate In 100M
Usain Bolt defeated Asafa Powell to win the 100 metres at the Diamond League meeting in Paris.
Bolts’s team mate was even quicker out of the blocks than the triple Olympic champion who then got into his stride to come through and win in 9.84seconds a record for the meeting.
Powell was second, 0.07secs adrift, with fellow Jamaican Yohan Blake third in a personal best of 9.95.
Bolt said: “I didn’t feel as powerful as I wanted to out of the blocks.
“I need to go home and work on that.”
Powell added: “I’ll get him next time around. It was just a bad race tonight but it will get better.”
