Chicago Bulls Sign Carlos Boozer

The Bulls missed out on Amare Stoudemire to the New York Knicks and then failed in their attempts to sign Dwyane Wade or Chris Bosh as they opted to sign in Miami. The Bulls decide to react early by signing Carlos Boozer from Utah Jazz on a 5 year deal worth $80 million.

The Bulls still have enough cap space for another star to join Boozer. Lebron James’s future is still unclear however favourites to sign him are Chicago, New York or Miami however Lebron will announce his decision during a one hour ESPN primetime special.

If the Bulls fail to sign another player they still have a squad camaple of challenging for the championship with Luol Deng and Joakim Noah, and of course with point guard Derrick Rose.

Boozer’s decision comes after he averaged 19.5 points and 11.2 rebounds per game this past season with the Utah Jazz. Jazz head coach Jerry Sloan wanted Boozer to return to Salt Lake City

Now with the power forward situation assessed, and the possibility of not picking up LeBron, the Bulls can go after another former Jazz player, Kyle Korver, or Mike Miller to address their needs at shooting guard.
